THE YOUNG AND THE USELESS... Ce nom ne vous dit rien hum ? Et si je vous dit Adam Horovitz, BEASTIE BOYS ? Voilà on y est !
Ce groupe, formé au début des 80s, était donc composé 4 jeunes gamins New Yorkais, dont Adam, qui s'amusait à cracher leur rage au travers de paroles stupides et aggressives, ainsi que diverses scènes de NYC en compagnie de Bad Brains, Stimulators, Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, P.I.L., Husker Du, the Mob, the Necros et bien sur les Beastie Boys à leur début.
Ils ont fait leur dernier concert au CBGB en 1984 quand Adam Horovitz devait consacrer la plupart de son temps aux Beastie Boys.
L'homme à la tête du label Ratcage, qui a vu émerger la scène punk hardcore de l'époque, a même dit que THE YOUNG AND THE USELESS était un des groupes les plus mortels qu'il ait vu en concert...
En tout cas, le reste fait partie de l'histoire, et nous pouvons toujours écouter ce EP "Real Men dont Floss" de 1982.
